Diagnosis
Vertex with raised and weak reticulation, only slightly more hairy than in “normal” Horismenus, setae short; occipital margin rounded; midlobe of mesoscutum and scutellum with raised and strong reticulation, with sparse setation with short setae; costal cell ventrally with a row of setae in basal ˝; submarginal vein with two setae; first gastral tergite reticulate in posterior 1/3, lateral surface predominantly reticulate. Similar to longicornis but female with shorter antenna and both sexes with a 2-segmented clava.
